Introduction

Richard is an experienced corporate lawyer with over 40 years’ experience in corporate transactions and advisory work. He advises on public and private mergers and acquisitions, securities issues, corporate governance, joint ventures and commercial arrangements, with cross-sector expertise across both regulated and non-regulated industries.

Richard began his career at Stephenson Harwood, where he became a partner before joining Hogan Lovells, where he spent the majority of his career. His clients have included the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, Credit Suisse, Barclays, Honeywell and Microsoft.

He is known by clients for a technical, constructive and solution-driven approach, getting to the heart of issues quickly and pragmatically.

Behind the lawyer

When not corporate lawyering, Richard aims to enjoy life fully, from cycling, skiing and walking to bridge, opera and spending time with his family. He is also kept busy by five grandchildren.
