ABOUT

Introduction

Richard brings over 50 years of continuous private practice to Arbor Law, with a career spent advising individuals, owner-managed businesses and professional clients across property, estates, commercial transactions and dispute resolution. That depth of experience is rare at any level, and the breadth of it is equally uncommon: few senior lawyers remain as comfortable across all four of those areas as Richard does.

He founded and ran his own firm in Birkenhead for nearly 30 years, which means he understands not just the legal side of running a business, but the operational and personal pressures that come with it. That depth of perspective is something clients feel immediately. His practice has always been built on trust, repeat instructions and long-term relationships rather than transaction volume.

Richard is a dual-qualified solicitor admitted in England and Wales and Gibraltar. He established Strait Law in Gibraltar in 2012, focusing on UK-connected clients with cross-border needs, and is now returning to UK-based practice.
