ABOUT

Introduction

Katherine is a commercial lawyer with over nine years’ experience advising across a wide range of matters, with a particular focus on commercial, corporate and employment. She takes the time to get to know clients and their businesses, and gives practical, clear, actionable advice.

Katherine began her career at Taylor Wessing, advising private equity and corporate clients on M&A and general corporate matters, including advising Wahanda (subsequently rebranded Treatwell) on its acquisition of multiple companies across Europe. In 2015 she moved in-house at Treatwell to set up the legal function from scratch, leading the Legal and People Operations teams through a period of significant change, including acquisitions, the sale of the business and the onset of Covid-19.

She then joined Event Genius as Chief People Officer and General Counsel, where she was responsible for the Legal and People team across Europe, North America and APAC. Her achievements there included overhauling the festival partner agreement and customer-facing terms and conditions, auditing the employee option scheme, revising the corporate governance structure, and playing a key role in the sale of the business assets to Lyte and the TUPE transfer and integration project that followed.
