Mary is a commercial lawyer with over 17 years’ experience advising multinational businesses across a wide range of matters in the UK and globally. Her practice has a particular focus on commercial and contractual work, product counselling and compliance, with extensive experience in e-commerce, social media, FMCG and global sports marketing.
Mary began her career at CMS Cameron McKenna, where she was seconded to the London and Madrid offices of Diageo. She has spent the majority of her career in-house, advising some of the world’s most prominent consumer and technology businesses. She has held roles at adidas as Legal Counsel for Global Sports Marketing Legal and Commercial Affairs in Amsterdam; at eBay in a series of senior positions including Senior Commercial and Product Counsel for eBay Europe, Head of Legal for eBay Spain and Americas Senior Commercial and Product Counsel in San Jose, California; as Senior Legal Counsel at TikTok in London; and as a Legal Consultant at Meta in London. Most recently, she has held interim GC roles at UK and Irish based SMEs on both a full time and fractional basis.
She takes a pragmatic, risk-based approach to legal ambiguity, helping clients navigate complexity and deliver on outcomes in a cost-effective and timely way.
Outside work, Mary’s main passions are yoga and travel. She loves nothing more than combining the two and takes her yoga mat on every foreign adventure.
